HAILEY, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) The lockdown is over for the College of Southern Idaho, the Silver Creek Alternative High School, the Wood River High School and the Community Campus.
Our reporter on the scene said it turned out to be a false alarm. Earlier in the morning, a person inside the Silver Creek School saw a person with a camera’s monopod. The person mistakenly took it as a weapon and called 911. Authorities looked at surveillance video where it was determined that there was no threat to the school.
Earlier Doug Maughan with CSI said they were ordered to shelter in place. The College of Southern Idaho Blaine County campus along with the Silver Creek Alternative High School, the Wood River High School and the Community Campus all ordered to lockdown, while the rest of the schools were in “lockout” mode.
