31st Annual Spudman Triathlon to be held Saturday
It takes a dedicated athlete to complete a triathlon. Saturday, July 29th marks the 31st year for the Burley Lion's Spudman Triathlon.
The event features a 1.5K swim, a 40K bike ride and a 10K run.
Organizers have assigned more than 1,900 bib numbers to teams or individuals.
The swim begins at the Burley boat docks and ends at the Burley/Heyburn bridge.
The bike course is fairly flat loop.
The run begins with a short steep hill and then levels to a mostly flat course. The run is on country roads and canal banks.
The first wave of swimmers leave Burley boat docks at 6:50 AM in the morning, representing the elite group. Each wave leaves 10 minutes after that.
