Twin Falls Baseball overpowers Burley

BURLEY, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Twin Falls Baseball is just one game behind the first–place Minico Spartans.

The Bruins fresh off a shutout of Burley, took on the Bobcats Saturday on the road.

First inning, Bruins up a run, looking for insurance, Anthony Scholes hits a chopper that goes past the shortshop since he was cheating towards center. 3 RBI's on the day for Scholes.

Andrew Ferrin on the mound for Burley, but Connor Root lays down a bunt that Ferrin has no chance to make a play on, Root ends up at first.

Twin Falls looks to take advantage. Carson Walters delivers a shot to left, and Lucas Young scores. It's 3–0 Bruins...

Burley's defense looks to step up. Garrett Tracy comes up with a nice play, firing to home and Greenfield is out, plus Burley gets the double play at third.

But this one all Twin Falls, exploding for 18 runs in the five–inning affair.

The Bruins get the series sweep and prepare for a home game against Highland on Monday.
