Canyon Ridge and Twin Falls Softball take home conference's top honors

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Great Basin Conference softball coaches have released their all-conference teams.

Twin Falls repeats in the Coach of the Year and Player of the Year categories.

Tonia Burk is the COY for the third consecutive year. Her squad went undefeated in conference and district action.

Kylie Baumert is the POY for the third straight season as well. She batted .604, with 10 home runs and 36 RBI's. She also stole 22 bases. The College of Southern Idaho signee led the team in all of these key stats. In the circle, she posted a team-best 1.62 ERA in 18 appearances, to go along with a 5-1 record and 48 strikeouts.

Teammate Kenzie Connell is the Co-Pitcher of the Year, an honor she's sharing with Taylor Huddleston of Canyon Ridge High School. The junior Bruin appeared in 17 games, pitching in 60 innings, posting a 3.27 ERA, to go along with 12-2 record and a team-high 49 strikeouts.

Huddleston appeared in 29 games, pitching in 144 innings, posting a 3.64 ERA to go along with a 10-5 record and a whopping 185 strikeouts.
