Bliss routs and Filer rallies, the pair to meet in the 3A state semi-final

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Bliss found the net twice in the first half and three times in the second to shut out Timberlake, 5-0.

The Bears were led by senior forward Steven Rubio who produced a hat trick.

The victory gives Bliss their 11th of the season.

The neighboring game was a little more exciting. Down 1-0 at halftime, Filer scored its first goal of the game against Sugar-Salem on a penalty kick. About ten minutes later they found the net again on a miraculous shot by Martin Perez.

Then there was the save by freshman goalkeeper Joseph Bertao that led the Wildcats to the stunning 2-1 upset of Sugar-Salem.
