LAS VEGAS, Nv. (KMVT/KSVT) For the first time ever, Boise State Football is the unanimous favorite to win the Mountain Division.
BSU captured all 22 first-place votes, beating out Wyoming and Colorado. The announcement came at the hands of Mountain West Media Days in Las Vegas.
Officials also named eight Broncos to the preseason All-Mountain West team, including Offensive Player of the Brett Rypien.
And Special Teams Player of the Year, Avery Williams. Rypien is the first Bronco to earn such award since the legendary Kellen Moore accomplished the feat in 2011.
He enters the 2018 campaign as the FBS active career leader in passing yardage at 9,876. Williams led the Mountain West and ranked 13th in the country with 11.2 yards per punt return.
