BOISE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Boise State running back Alexander Mattison announced he's declaring for the NFL Draft.
The junior discussed the options with his family and credited the coaching staff who prepared him for the transition.
Mattison said, "I would like to thank my family for supporting my decision to attend Boise State University, which ultimately became one of the best decisions of my life."
Mattison rushed for 1,415 yards to go along with 17 touchdowns this past season, earning Mountain West first-team honors.
During his sophomore campaign he had 1,086 yards and 12 touchdowns, earning All-Mountain West Honorable Mention recognition.
If drafted, it marks six straight seasons BSU features a player being drafted early. It all started with Demarcus Lawrence in the 2014 draft and most recently, Dallas rookie Leighton Vander Esch.
