TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The Hilex Poly Invitational isn't just a basketball tournament, but a way to save the environment.

If you and your family members attend the tournament this weekend, bring a handful of plastic bags. The cost of admission prices will drop 50% per partcipant.

Hilex Poly provides recycling bins at local grocery stores, CSI buildings, and at their plant in Jerome.

Officials say recycled plastic bags are gathered into bales and taken to one of the Novolex recycling centers where they are washed and processed into pellets that are used to manufacture new plastic bags.

“We’re proud to offer a sustainable solution with our Bag-2-Bag® program and we’re excited to bring more awareness to recycling through our sponsorship of CSI Athletics,” said Scott Adams, Hilex Poly Plant Manager. “Bag-2-Bag takes plastic retail bags out of the environment and landfills. Novolex processes more than 22 million pounds of plastic every year at our dedicated recycling centers.”

The men’s team hosts Columbia Basin on Friday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m. and then Mesa Community College on Saturday, November 17 at 7:30 p.m.
