Burley falls out of contention Friday evening

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) BYU commit Makayla Tolman and the Burley Bobcats looking to make some noise at the 4A state volleyball tournament.

The ladies facing Middleton in the late morning game at Rocky Mountain High School. The Vikings won their first district title in 13 years and have only one loss on the season. Burley didn't care.

The Bobcats down one set to none, came out attacking in the second.
Credit the 6'3" Tolman with the block. Burley up two.

A little later, Middleton pays the favor, as Carissa Chainey, a 5'6" sophomore blocks her taller nemesis.

Burley's lead starting to decrease now, as we get late into the set. But Tolman, like other leaders step up to the challenge. She led the team to a second set victory.

And this one went all five sets and Burley nearly pulled off the upset, but unfortunately, Middleton won 3–2.

The Bobcats rebounded by eliminating conference foe, Twin Falls 3–1 Friday afternoon, beating them for the first time this season. But fell to Kuna to end the season.
