Burley hires Oakley boys basketball coach to replace Bagley

BURLEY, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) With Jack Bagley gone at Burley, the high school needed to fill a void left by the departure of the head basketball coach.

The school did not have to leave the district to find a replacement. Oakley Boys Basketball coach Travis Noble is taking the reigns, according to district spokeswoman, Debbie Critchfield.

Noble led the Hornets to a 19-5 record this season, falling just short of a state tournament berth.

During the 2014-15 and 2015-16 school years, Oakley won back-to-back district titles and took third at the 1A D-I state championships in 2016.

He inherits a Burley team that won the 4A consolation trophy in March.

Noble will teach health and physical education at Burley and is currently working to fill the coaching staff.

Oakley meanwhile will search for an athletic director, boys basketball coach, health and physical education teacher.
