CSI Men's Basketball players look to prove themselves down the stretch

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team is back home after a short road trip. The men learned some valuable lessons, especially after a rough loss at Salt Lake.

The Golden Eagles don't get blown out very often, the last one was a year ago against then powerhouse Snow College.

The team told us that turnovers killed them in the Salt Lake game. After being down by one at halftime, they quit rebounding and that turned into easy baskets for the Bruins.

CSI then took care of business against Colorado Northwestern on Saturday.

One of the stars of the game Roberto Gittens. The freshman is coming off a meniscus injury that required surgery and kept him off the court for four weeks. That was a struggle for the Tacoma native.

The men now host USU Eastern on Saturday.

Just because the Eagles don't boast a national ranking such as Salt Lake, CSI cannot overlook them.

USU recently went into double overtime with the Bruins. Head coach Jared Phay likes how the team has progressed over the past few days.
