The Golden Eagles took the first game, by an 11-3 final, looking to run-rule the Spartans again.

CSI up 5-1 in the third, Emma Wilson drilled a two-run home run, bringing in Canyon Ridge High School grad, Kassidie Brooks. CSI went up 7-1.

The Spartans answered in the fourth, Denae Howes found the gap for her lone hit of the game, which brought in Natalie Parish. Colorado was down five after that.
