CSI Volleyball wins SWAC conference title

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) It couldn't have come at a better time for the fourth ranked Golden Eagles. The occasion came on Sophomore Night and All–American Airi Miyabe finished with 21 kills and eight digs.

The ladies swept the seventh ranked Bruins (25-16, 25-22, 25-19), earning the Scenic West athletic conference regular season title.

According to athletic director, Joel Bate, CSI won the tiebreaker over SLCC, due to the fact the Golden Eagles held the Bruins to less than 60 points Friday, meaning they held them to less points overall in the two meetings.

Here's Coach Cartisser on what's been clicking with his team.

"Airi has been doing a terrific job all season long and she's stepped it up even more," explained Cartisser. "I feel like our middles have solidified a little bit, we're getting a little more offense out of them."

CSI finishes up the regular season at Treasure Valley Community College on Monday for a non–conference match.

They'll host the Region 18 tournament Friday and Saturday. The Golden Eagles will play at seven on Friday.
