CSI basketball splits contests at Treasure Valley

ONTARIO, Oregon (KMVT/KSVT) The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team had the lead for three quarters, but a 23 point Chukars fourth quarter proved to be too much to handle. Treasure Valley won 68-61.

Allie Thayne led the Golden Eagles with 18 points and six rebounds. Ka'Maree Donald and Bailey Hawkins each had 10 points.

CSI falls to 10-4. They head to Nevada after Christmas for the Las Vegas Tournament, December 27-29. The ladies face Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Central Arizona College and Grays Harbor College.

The men's team followed and had no problem with the Chukars, winning 119-80.

N'Keil Nelson led the Golden Eagles with 23 points off the bench and David Walker added 20. Roberto Gittens and Thomas Miles both had 12, while Malik Porter, Jaxon Edelmayer and Coleman Sparling all had 11.

The Golden Eagles improve to 13-3 on the season. They have a break before hosting national powerhouse Indian Hills Community College-Ottumwa as well as Williston State in the Idaho Central Credit Union Invitational, December 28-29. CSI lost to Indian Hills earlier this year.
