Canyon Ridge Girls Basketball earns first win in five weeks; local scores

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Canyon Ridge Girls Basketball looked to snap a nine-game losing streak.

None of the Lady Riverhawks' past four losses have been blowouts, but the women of crimson looking to get past this hurdle.

The Riverhawks hosted Filer Thursday night and the Lady Wildcats are hoping to get their first win since November 17th.

Filer ball, Colbie Kliegl connects with Jailyn Gartner on the outside. She led her team with nine points.

Filer down seven in the second quarter, but no one could stop Caitlin Crist.

She posted a game-high 29 points from either driving or just tricking her defenders and Canyon Ridge wins this one, 48-38.

Next up for the Wildcats, Spring Creek at 4:30, while the Riverhawks play Mountain Home on Saturday at noon.


Rocky Mountain 57, Minico 39: Riley Frith scored 15 in the win for the Grizzlies. Taylia Stimpson led the Spartans with 14. She was the only one in double figures for Minico.

Twin Falls 67, Spring Creek 33: McKayla Rodriguez had 14 points and four rebounds for the Bruins. Gracie Mumford added 13 points in the rout.
