Club volleyball teams remember Heidi Cartisser

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) 13 months ago the College of Southern Idaho volleyball coach tragically passed away in her sleep.

Club Canyon Black takes first in Gold at CSI in 16U division at Heidi Cartisser Memorial.

On Saturday, several club programs from around Idaho converged in Twin Falls to play in the Heidi Cartisser Memorial tournament.

Cartisser got to know many of these teams because of her involvement in the game, not just at CSI.

Current CSI volleyball players officiated the matches, as their way of paying respects to the late coach.

Proceeds benefit the Cartisser family.

Joyce Fahnestock, tournament director said, "all of us that knew her loved her very dearly and she was an amazing person and did so much for volleyball in the area and even teams in northern Idaho and eastern Idaho." "So we all just loved her very much and we wanted to have this tournament in her honor. We wanted to let her family know that we miss her, love her and care a lot about them."

CSI and Twin Falls High School played hosts to the event.
