DECLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) No. 1 ranked Declo looked for a more challenging schedule this year. So far, they've lived up to expectations, beating the No. 2 and 5 ranked teams in the 3A classification.
This 2A powerhouse hopes to do the same as the two–time defending state champion Fruitland comes to town.
The game started off in style as a skydiver brought the American Flag with him and landed on the field.
But it was a little rocky at first for the Hornets. This was the second snap that sailed over the quarterback, first to Keegan Duncan and then McKay Breshears.
But then Breshears on third down, didn't just get a few feet, he got more than 30 yards on this play, before finally being brought down.

Same drive, on the quarterback keeper, it's Breshears who punches it in, Declo takes a 6–0 lead.
After a slew of penalties, the Hornets go for the two–point conversion and it's none other than Duncan finding the outside and giving the Hornets an 8–0 lead late in the first quarter.
But Fruitland gives it right back as Cole Eiguren's pass, intercepted by Traver Larson.
Same drive, second quarter now and Breshears finds Ben Puentes, who pulled down the reception beautifully for the touchdown. Declo goes up 15–0 after the extra point.
The Hornets dominate, winning 43–14, beating their third ranked 3A opponent. Declo is now 6–0 on the year.
The Hornets host the Wildcats on Friday.
