Dietrich beats Lighthouse Christian to take second place in conference

DIETRICH, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) When Dietrich hosted Lighthouse on Friday it was for second place in conference.

With Carey already locking up the top spot, neither team could place higher than second or lower than third.

Special teams kick started the scoring. Early in the game Lighthouse was punting deep in their own territory. The snap went over punter Jordan Bradshaw's head. He would recover for a safety.

With Dietrich then up two nothing they received a Lighthouse punt. Kade Shaw would return that punt for a touchdown.

The Blue devils would ride that lead to a win, shutting out Lighthouse 24-0.

Dietrich takes the second spot in the conference and Lighthouse takes the third. Both teams are headed to the playoffs.

NEXT WEEK:

Dietrich hosts North Gem in the first round of the 1A DII state playoffs.

Lighthouse travels to Clark-Watersprings for the first round next week. The Lions fell to the Warriors in the first game of the year, 54-28.
