Filer, Kimberly advance to 3A district semi-final; other scores

BUHL, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The Indians hosted Filer Monday night in the first round of the SCIC playoffs. The teams split the series during the regular season.

Filer led 18-15 at the half and prevailed 33-30 in a low-scoring affair.

Mayson Martinez led the Wildcats with nine points, Tristan Sullivan added seven and Ethan Dionne pulled down 15 rebounds.

Indians coach Dan Winn said the key for Filer was out-rebounding Buhl, 47-27.

Garret Bowman scored 10 points in the win for Buhl.

1A DII PLAYOFFS:

Hagerman 64, Richfield 56: The Pirates won their play-in game and face Camas County, the No. 2 seed on Tuesday at Shoshone High School, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Castleford 46, Sun Valley Community School 42: The Wolves edged out the Cutthroats to win their respective play-in game and will battle No. 1 Lighthouse at Shoshone High School on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
