A familiar face to college basketball fans is returning home. Daequon Montreal is the new athletic director at Lighthouse Christian School in Twin Falls.

Montreal played for CSI from 2007 to 2009, where he averaged nearly 16 points and nine rebounds a game.

He transferred to Boise State for the rest of his playing career and led the Broncos in scoring in 2011.

The 28 year–old has been playing professionally overseas in Australia for the past five years.

But he has a wife, a kindergartener at Lighthouse, plus a brand new baby boy, and thought it's time to be together full–time.

A hard decision, but he doesn't regret his time playing in the land down under.

"I loved the fact I chose to do it because I almost decided not to go play and get straight into coaching after my career at Boise State. But I loved the experience and being able to travel the world and travel and it was paid for basketball. It's a small private school and some of the things they believed is what attracted me to the school and position," Montreal explained.

Montreal started his new gig on Monday and will help assist with the basketball and track programs.
