PEORIA, IL. (KMVT/KSVT) Danya Kingsby is taking his talents to Bradley, after red-shirting this season at LSU. Since it was a medical redshirt, he says he can play immediately.
The guard told KMVT that the Braves have been recruiting him for a long time, even prior to his years at CSI. Now the Milwaukee native will be just three hours from his hometown.
Kingsby claimed, "it wasn’t the best situation over there (LSU) for me & I put all my focus and interest in Bradley from the Jump!" Kingsby added, "they been recruiting me for a long time & I just felt like Bradley was the best situation for me moving forward."
Bradley lost to Michigan State in the first round of the NCAA tournament, while coincidentally, LSU fell to the Spartans Friday night in the Sweet Sixteen.
Kingsby led the Golden Eagles to back-to-back appearances in the NJCAA National Tournament. In 2018, CSI finished second in the nation. He averaged 13.3 points a game as a sophomore and 12.2 points his freshman year.
