Highland runs away with game against Twin Falls

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Twin Falls hosted No.1 ranked and the reigning 5A state champion Highland in their first meeting since 2013.

Nicholas Swensen picks off the Kobe Tracy pass and nearly runs it all the way back, but he's brought down just shy of the goal line.

Then Jarad Perry punches it in and the Bruins jump on the board 7–0.

Twin Falls feeling hyped about coming out quickly and efficiently.

Rams enjoying two straight first downs, looking to make it three, as the shuttle pass goes to Jesus Garcia and he picks up another.

Highland had to settle for a field goal and cut the deficit to four.

Rams back with the ball in the second quarter, Tracy finds Cooper Cuffin in the end zone. The touchdown marked the first lead of the game for Highland and the Rams never looked back.

Highland led 16-7 at halftime, part of a scoring spree that featured 31 straight points. They won 31-14. Twin Falls got a late touchdown from Perry.

Highland is now 3-0 on the year, while Twin Falls drops to 2-1.


Jerome 20, Wood River 7: The Tigers move to 1-2 on the year, while the Wolverines fall to 0-3.

Preston 38, Canyon Ridge 24: The Riverhawks are now 0-3 on the season.
