ID college football players earn All-American honors

IDAHO ( KMVT / KSVT ) USA TODAY Freshman All-America Team

~ Cade Coffey, Idaho kicker-punter: averaged 44.6 yards per punt, ranking ninth nationally and first among freshmen. Coffey also connected on 12-of-17 field goals with a long of 46. He was twice named Sun Belt Special Teams Player of the Week.

~ Curtis Weaver, Boise State redshirt freshman STUD: This is his second All-American honor, Weaver was named an All-America honorable mention by SB Nation on Dec. 7. The first freshman in conference history to be named to the All-Mountain West's First Team for defense, Through 13 games, leads the Mountain West, and all FBS freshmen, with 9.0 sacks.

~ Skyler Phillips, Idaho State offensive lineman: Earned third-team AP All-American honors. He was one of nine Big Sky Conference players to earn first, second or third team accolades. The last Bengal to be named to the All-American team was Josh Hill in 2012. He helped Idaho State rank in the top 30 in FCS with 28.1 points per game.
