Jerome gets past Canyon Ridge in OT for district championship

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Jerome defeated Canyon Ridge 2-1 in overtime after fans were treated to a battle of strong defensive teams.

The Tigers won their seventh district championship since 2003.

Jerome (14-3-1) will battle Emmett (12-6-1) in the first round at 11 a.m. next Thursday and Canyon Ridge (10-6-1) takes on Moscow in the first round at 2 p.m. at Brothers Park in Caldwell.

Meanwhile, Twin Falls got past Wood River 10-9 in penalty kicks.

The Bruins (10-7-1) will play the Vallivue (13-6-1), the three seed from District III on Saturday at 3 p.m in a state play-in game.
