Kimberly's cold shooting night costs the Bulldogs

MERIDIAN, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Kimberly shot lights out Thursday night, but that wasn't translating down the stretch Friday evening, the Bulldogs had some good looks, however they rimmed out.

The Bulldogs shot poorly from the floor at 38% and even worse from three-point range with a 27.8% shooting percentage.

Kimberly took advantage of free throw opportunities and converted them, going 13/14 for the game.

And for the final two and half minutes, Kimberly did not score, as Sugar-Salem pulled out the win, 57-52.

Dawson Cummins had a game-high 22 points, while teammate Brant Etherington added 12 in the loss.

Tanner Harris led the Diggers with 16 points, while Gerohm Rihari added 12.

The Diggers will face Fruitland for the championship at the Ford Idaho Center, tip-off is 3:50 p.m., while the Bulldogs take on Marsh Valley in the third place game at 11, this game is still at Meridian High School.

This marks Sugar's third win against Kimberly this season.
