Lighthouse pulls away from Hagerman; girls basketball roundup

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) The first time Hagerman and Lighthouse matched up this season, the Lions narrowly edged out the Pirates on the road. Now they're meeting in Twin Falls.

Lions score on the first possession, Chloe Gomez finds Haylee Grossman, she uses her size to get the bucket, eight points on the night for her.

Hagerman on the run, but Gomez blocks Alana Floyd's shot and catches it, pretty impressive, she runs the court and looks ahead to Grossman. She turns and takes a power dribble, but her basket doesn't go, but there for cleanup duty is Mikayla Maxfield and she gives her team another two points, a 10 point outing for her this evening.

Then Floyd answers from the other side of the court, banking in three's Tuesday night, she had a team-high 18 points and four three pointers.

Her easier shot attempt doesn't go, but teammate Tristyn Hulme is there. Lighthouse though wins 68-50.

Side note, Lauren Gomez made seven three pointers, breaking Parris' old school record, the freshman with a game-high 22 points. Chloe added 19.

Firth paced Hagerman with 15, the second-highest scorer of the night for the Pirates.


Gooding 73, Dietrich 37: Grace Parker led the Senators with a game-high 31 points. Erica Anthony added 21. The team made 10 three-point baskets.

Valley 35, Carey 34: Broganne Mangum scored 11 points for the Lady Vikings.


CSI 100, Treasure Valley 62: Tiena Afu led the Golden Eagles with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Mallory Lapoole added 17 points.

CSI improved to 12-2 overall.
