Lighthouse wins first ever district championship

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Lighthouse Boys Basketball played in its first ever district championship.
The Lions have never gone to state, despite having some talented athletes in years past.

The undefeated Lions at 22-0, faced Camas in the title and it was really intense game up at Shoshone.

During this technical foul, fans starting verbally attacking the officials and the refs threatened them with dismissal. A Camas County administrator had to stay nearby.

The first half was obviously nothing short of physical.
Lighthouse led by 10 at halftime and they pulled away in the second half, taking this one 75-54.

Lighthouse wins its first ever district championship and moves to 23-0 on the year.

The Lions will play Mackay in the first round of the tournament on Thursday at 8 pm. The location for the 1A D-II championships is Caldwell High School.

Camas faces Carey Thursday at seven, after the Panthers edged out the Red Devils of Murtaugh, 48-47. The winner will be the second seed. The loser travels to Pocatello High School on Saturday for a state play-in game starting at 3 p.m.
