Minico and Twin Falls Baseball pick up top conference honors

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Great Basin Conference regular season champion Minico Baseball, earns two of the top three honors.

Jared Price is Coach of the Year. He helped his squad with the regular conference and take home the 4A State Baseball Runner-Up trophy for the second time in three years.

Senior Drake Miller is the Player of the Year. The senior Spartan stifled the batters, posting a 10-1 record with an ERA of 0.507. He gave up a total of five earned runs in his 11 starts. His batting stats are .465 batting average and had an on base percentage of .565. He had 31 RBI’s. Miller has committed to play at Lamar Community College in Colorado.

Twin Falls junior Connor Root has been named the Pitcher of the Year. Connor Root Offensive: 2B: 5, 3B: 5, HR: 1, RBI: 17, Ave. 464, PITCHING: Innings pitched: 50, Wins: 7 Losses: 3 Strikeouts: 61, Walks: 5, ERA: 1.26
