Minico dominates against Pocatello to stay undefeated; 4A roundup

RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Despite an undefeated record, Minico is on the outside looking in at the 4A media poll.

The Spartans hosted Pocatello on Friday, a team that sneaked by Canyon Ridge on the road last week.

The Spartans trying to stay undefeated in conference play as they gear up for an important road game against first place Century next week.

Conditions were a little muddy, due to Thursday night's rainfall.

A few fumbles in the first half led to sloppy play, but Minico finally got one the board to take a 21-0 lead into the break.

Nevertheless, the Spartans kicked it into gear coming out with the 28-7 win.

Rylan Chandler pulled in four receptions for 133 yards. He also had 10 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown. Colter May produced 12 carries and 81 yards.

Stocking with 8/15 for 161 yards and a touchdown.

The defense forced three turnovers.

The Spartans and No. 5 Diamondbacks go to battle on Friday, October 12 starting at 5:30 p.m. at Holt Arena.


Twin Falls 40, Mountain Home 13: The Bruins led 26-6 at halftime and never looked back. Jarad Perry ran for touchdowns and 130 yards, while Nick Swensen passed for a touchdown and ran for one as well. He was 14/27 for 176 yards. Caden Zierenburg was 2/2 for field goals.
