RUPERT, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Burley and Minico met for their big rivalry game Friday night, where the Bobcats are looking to end their 14 game losing streak against the Spartans.

The last time when both teams started the season off 2-0 was back in 2001.

Minico got the first touchdown of the game, less than three minutes in, giving them the early lead.

The Spartans got another touchdown a couple minutes later, giving them a 12-0 lead.

The Bobcats weren't going to go down without a fight though and scored in the first quarter as well, with less than three minutes left on the clock.

Spartans quarterback Connor Stocking made a couple big plays, as well as running back Colter May.

On the bobcats side, quarterback Ethan Gibbons and wide receiver Kody Kruckenberg had a couple of big plays of their own.

But in the end, the Spartans were too deep, pulling away in the second half, winning with a final score of 42-18.

Minico is now 3-0, while Burley drops to 2-1.
