Minico wins OT thriller over Twin Falls

RUPERT, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Girls district basketball is in its final week before the state championships.

Minico and Twin Falls played Tuesday night in a winner to state, loser-out situation. The Spartans trying to keep that one seed true.

The Bruins looked strong in the first half. But here's Taycee Harper who gets the steal, she can't make the layup, there for the offensive board is Madison Vorwaller, she gets the basket and she goes to the line.

Twin Falls answers right back, as Paige Beem gets open in the key, nice find from Kylie Baumert, the senior finds the freshman and Twin Falls goes up double digits in the second quarter.

We all know how difficult it is to play at Minico, but Morgan Harr silences the crowd with her three pointer.

At the break, Twin Falls led 29-19.

The Spartans came back in the second half.

Final seconds of the game and it's 51-48 Twin Falls, until Minico's Bailey Black comes off the bench to drain the game-tying three and send this one into overtime.

The Spartans come from behind and stun the Bruins, 61-56.

Minico now heads to the district championship at Burley where they'll fight for the one seed on Thursday at 7 pm.
