TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team only has one game this week. The 19th-ranked Golden Eagles host Colorado Northwestern Saturday at 5 p.m.

CSI is coming off a loss to USU Eastern, the Golden Eagles watched their 15 point lead slip away, and fell 76-75.

Malik Porter suffered a sprained ligament prior to the game and played limited minutes. He hopes to be ready to play Saturday.

"We got other guys that will step for us if I don't go, we got Coreyoun, N'Keil, Roberto and Khalid," explained Porter.

Roberto Gittens, the team's second leading scorer with 14.8 points per game scored only eight in the loss.

Gittens said, "Kevin Legardy has played really good for us in practice, being more confident, doing what is asked of him. Thomas Miles has been picking it up. All the guys have been going hard in practice, I think we have seen a whole different team Saturday and we'll execute the way we should."

Meanwhile, according to the CSI coaching staff, David Walker is suspended indefinitely due to a violation of team rules. The team's leading scorer is averaging 15.2 points per game.

During halftime, the school will announce Heidi Cartisser's induction into the CSI Hall of Fame. The late volleyball coach passed away in December of 2017 following a 12-year coaching career that produced three national titles and 11 All-Americans.
