No. 2 Oakley falls in the district championship, winning streak ends at 22

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) The Oakley Lady Hornets who ranked second in the state haven't lost a game. At 21-0, they're taking on rival Shoshone, who's coming in at No. 4 in Idaho for the district championship at CSI.

Oakley has won 22 straight since last year. The crowd loving the venue here at the college.

A two point game in the third quarter, Blakely Payton misses the three, but there for cleanup duty Brittany Hardy, she had a team-high 11 points.

Indians answer quickly in the third quarter, especially Cierra Hennings, her bucket brings the deficit back down to two.

Oakley on the in-bounds play, Jaclyn Wybenga misses her jumper, but chases down the rebound and puts it back up, Hornets increase their lead to four.

But Hennings and company not going away, she had a game-high 17 points and Shoshone pulls off the upset, 33-30 to claim its first district championship since 2010.

The Lady Hornets will face Hagerman on Thursday at 7 pm back at Murtaugh High School for the second and final seed. The Pirates knocked off the Pilots, 50-35.
