No. 22 CSI Women's Basketball blows out Treasure Valley; local roundup

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) After a sloppy first quarter which featured seven turnovers and seven fouls, the College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team responded to Coach Randy Rogers' need for the squad to improve.

They turned an 11 point lead at the beginning of the second quarter to a 31 point lead at halftime.

Allie Thayne led the Golden Eagles with 16 points, Finley Garnett had 12 points and 10 rebounds. While Bailey Hawkins, Petra Farkas and Shay Lambson each scored 12 points and Mallory Lapoole added 10. Lapoole also had nine rebounds and Hawkins had four blocked shots.

The Golden Eagles are perfect at home (5-0) and have won seven straight.

CSI closes out its series with Treasure Valley next Monday at 5:30 p.m. on the road.


Twin Falls 37, Wood River 35 (OT): The Bruins escaped Hailey with the overtime win. Morgan Cargile provided most of the offense for Twin Falls with 20 points. She also had four rebounds and two blocked shots. Brinley Iverson had 11 rebounds.
