No. 4 CSI Volleyball wins Region 18 Championship in convincing fashion

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The No. 4 College of Southern Idaho volleyball team looking to book a trip to the NJCAA National Tournament.

Southern Nevada tested the Golden Eagles Friday night, but CSI prevailed, setting up a date with Snow College in Saturday's Region 18 Championship.

Jovana Vukcevic really stepped her game in the two matches CSI played, finishing with 14 kills against Southern Nevada and 11 against Snow. She earned Region 18 Tournament MVP. Other Golden Eagles making the All-Tournament team included Miyabe, Baumert and Payton Spoja.

CSI swept Snow (25-16, 25-15, 25-20) to earn a berth to the NJCAA National Tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.

COLLEGE ROUND-UP:

CSI Men's Basketball bounced back from Friday's season opening loss to defeat Central Wyoming, 88–77. Jaxon Edelmayer led the Golden Gagles in scoring with 14 points on 3/3 shooting from 3 point range.

And the women fell to Sheridan College, 59–56. Denajha Kie led CSI with 18 points. They drop to one and one on the year.
