Noble takes Timberline boys basketball job

BOISE, Idaho ( KMVT / KSV T) Former Oakley High School boys basketball coach Travis Noble is headed back for the Gem State to coach the high school ranks.

Timberline High School tweeted Friday that Noble is the new head boys basketball coach.

Noble of course took the Burley High School job last year before summer started and then departed for Walla Walla, where he had a chance to become an assistant at his Alma mater.

After one year and helping the Warriors to an East Conference Championship, Noble left.

At Oakley, he amassed an 83–36 record, back to back district championships from 2014 through 2016 and a third place finish at state in 2016.

Noble played at Montana State University-Northern where he excelled, earning all–conference honors and leading the squad to the national tournament and then went onto coach there as well.

Noble is excited for the opportunity to rebuild a Timberline program that went 6–16 last year.
