Oakley shocks Prairie, state football roundup

POCATELLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) In the semi finals for 1A D-I, it's Oakley and Prairie facing off. Oakley leads by one touchdown late in the 2nd quarter, but Prairie knew they had to capitalize before the half.

After a back and forth effort, late in the 4th Prairie has a chance to make one last move, but the pass will be knocked away. And that right there solidifies Oakley's victory beating Prairie 26-22, taking down the reigning state champion.

Meanwhile, Valley edges out Wilder 42–40, meaning the Hornets and Vikings will clash next Friday, November 16 at Holt Arena in the state championship, the kick-off is slated for 8:15 p.m. Jason Hardy produced five touchdowns, including 204 passing yards to go along with 137 rushing yards.

And it's going to be another all District IV final, as Lighthouse defeats Salmon River, 40—26. They face Carey in the championship, that game scheduled for Thursday, November 15, at 7 p.m. The location will be Holt Arena.

Meanwhile, Sugar-Salem ended Kimberly's postseason dreams after beating the Bulldogs, 56-27. Kimberly will take home the third place trophy.
