Senators sign letters of intent to play at Rocky Mountain College
The 2019 graduates from the Gooding Senators football team are taking collegiate athletics by storm.
Two teammates are leaving the nest together and making Billings, Montana their future home. KMVT’s Morgan Rumpf covered their signing this morning.
In a gymnasium filled with classmates Jayden Mullins and Anthony Novis signed their national letters of intent to play football for Rocky Mountain College.
"But when I went to Rocky, Rocky just felt like home. I liked all the guys there and they're a really good team so I thought that was the best place for me," said Anthony Novis.
Jayden echoed Anthony in Rocky feeling like home, but playing with a lifelong friend also won't be that bad.
"Just knowing that I get more time with a brother who I've grown up with playing rec ball, and just loving him and getting to spend every second of college with him now is just-it feels great!" explained Jayden Mullins.
Their high school coach Cameron Andersen couldn't be more proud.
"Anthony and Jayden they have been a staple of our program for the last few years,” Andersen said. “They've both played varsity since they were sophomores. They've been a part of big plays, big games, and conference and playoff games and really shined throughout. They're two very different players, ones an edge player and one's a box player but they're both very good at what they do and I'm very happy that Rocky could see that in them as well."
While at Rocky Mountain College, Anthony plans to study health and human performance and Jayden business administration.
