South Fremont coach surprises team manager

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (KIDK) Spencer Hathaway has special needs and has been the manager for the last four years.

Head coach Ryon Pope said, "he does a lot for us, he gets water, equipment and supplies, things we take for granted because it's always there."

Pope honored him before the game with his own jersey and a pair of Steph Curry shoes for his hard work and everything that he means to the school.

He also gave Spence the opportunity to warm up with the team and be an honorary captain, but told him he would not play.

This is where it gets better, he surprised Spence in the fourth quarter with a chance to play in the game.

You can hear the crowd get excited for him entering the game and he even scored a few points.

Way to go Spence!
