Sugar-Salem takes the lead at the Buhl Invitational

BUHL, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Day one is in the books of the 44th Annual Buhl Invitational, 32 teams, four mats and a lot of action.

After the first night, Sugar-Salem was in first place with 92 points, Spring Creek had 83.5 and Minico currently sits in third place with 78.5.

In the 120 pound weight class, Minico junior Zak Allred taking on junior Caden Crider of Declo.

The Spartan moves onto the semi-final round after a 9-4 decision. He will face Dylan Glider of Sugar-Salem on Saturday.

Meanwhile, in the 106 weight class, Buhl freshman Kade taking on sophomore Timothy Price of Sugar-Salem.

The younger of the two wins by technical fall and moves onto the semi-final.
