Twin Falls Girls Soccer to play for first ever state title; state scores

CALDWELL, Id. ( KMVT / KSVT ) For the first time ever, the Twin Falls Girls Soccer team is playing for a state title.

The Lady Bruins just escaped Century 3–2 in the semi–final and will play Preston at 4:30 Saturday afternoon at Middleton High School.

Twin Falls finished 3rd in 2012, making that the highest the Bruins ever finished.

In other action, Canyon Ridge Girls Soccer's first trip to state is short–lived as the Riverhawks fall 2–1 to Middleton.

Bliss' run has come to an end, dropping a 2–1 contest Friday to Teton.

And the Community School just can't keep up with Shelley, as the Lady Cutthroats lose 6–2, ending their season.

Now for some positive news! The Twin Falls Boys Soccer team still alive after beating Blackfoot, 2–0. What's next for the Bruins is the 4A Boys Soccer Consolation Championship.

But the season comes to an end after Wood River falls to Moscow in a heartbreaker, 2–1.

So the Bears and Bruins and will claw it out Saturday at 10, the location remains at Brothers Park in Caldwell.

Filer boys escape their match with Marsh Valley, 1–0, advancing to the 3a Boys Soccer Consolation. The Wildcats take on Emmett at 10 am on Saturday at Vallivue High.
