Twin Falls native brings Weber State golf team to BLCC

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Twin Falls native Sara Federico brought her Weber State Women's Golf team to Blue Lakes Country Club on Saturday. Federico is the head coach of the Wildcats.

The ladies just played in a qualifying tournament down in Utah and came up here to take on some of the club's members.

She says her squad is comprised of many freshmen and sophomores and this course is a great challenge for them.

"This is a great course because every hole gives you a different look. You're not hitting a driver to the middle of the fairway, you have to be strategic in what you're going to do, hit irons off tees, hits spots," Federico explained. "This is a fun course, it makes you tighten up your game and play a little bit better."

Federico became the head coach in 2016 after the Director of Golf, Jeff Smith passed away.
