Twin Falls wins Jerome Tournament

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The Jerome Tournament is in the books. 12 volleyball teams took over the high school on Saturday and one local squad won the whole tournament.

Twin Falls went a perfect 5-0 on the day, winning the title.

Taylor Burnham led the team with 53 kills on the day and 45 digs. Shelby Veenstra had 114 sets.

The Bruins beat Buhl and Mountain Home in pool play in straight sets.

Twin Falls then defeated Filer in two sets in the first round, played three sets against Skyline before defeating Rigby for the championship.

Rigby won the first set against the Bruins, while twin falls came back to beat them.

Twin Falls moves to 17-4 on the year.

Meanwhile, Skyline ended up taking third place, followed by Kimberly in fourth.

Filer, who played the Bruins tough in the first set of their match, won the consolation bracket.
