UPSET ALERT: No. 4 Twin Falls ends No. 1 Preston's 32-game win streak

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Twin Falls moves to 5-0 on the year after handing Preston its first loss since February 21, 2017.

The Bruins last fell to the Indians in the first round of the 2018 state tournament. Preston ended up beating Burley later on for its third consecutive state title. Meanwhile, Twin Falls ended up winning the consolation bracket and they've won seven straight since that loss, including Friday's night 50-37 win over Preston.

After being down one at the start of the second quarter, Twin Falls took a 27-20 lead at halftime and never looked back. The Bruins limited the Indians to single-digit scoring in all three of the remaining quarters.

Twin Falls was led by Mitchell Brizee and Faust Ystueta who each had 13 points. Winston Duggan added 10.

For Preston, Cooper Hobson posted a game-high 14 points, while Ty Hyde added 10.


Minico 54, Burley 41: Kobe Matsen put up 24 points and Rylan Chandler added 18 in the win. Jace Whiting led the Bobcats with 17 points, while Ethan Gibbons added 12.
