Whiting leads Burley past Caldwell

BURLEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Burley Boys Basketball looks to regroup, after losing three straight games, including one to rival, Minico.

Caldwell entered Saturday's game with a 2-1 record, more wins then they had all year last season.

The Cougars got within ten in the fourth quarter, but Burley never was threatened.

Jace Whiting, the junior guard was 3/5 from three-point range and had 26 points as Burley prevailed 68-55.

He tells us what went right on Saturday, in comparison to Friday's loss against the Spartans.

"We got some stops and got on a run this time. One of the things we want to do is as soon as we get the ball, we want to get out on a run," explained Whiting. "Yesterday (Friday) we didn't get enough stops, so we couldn't get on a run."

Burley travels to No. 3 Century on Tuesday.
