Wood River standout athletes sign National Letters of Intent

HAILEY, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Annie Kaminski of Wood River committed to Boise State Volleyball in April of her sophomore year. The all-league and all-state player is a 6'1" middle blocker.

Recruited by more than 20 Division I schools, she chose BSU because she loves the city and the culture of excellence at the school.

Then we have Payton Bacca, who signed with Westminster College soccer, a Division II program in Utah.

The four-year starter for the Wolverines, has excelled for club squads as well.

She was chosen for the US Youth Soccer West Region IV Development camp in 2017 and 2018 at Colorado State University.

Kaminski on the change to collegiate volleyball, "I'm expecting early mornings which I'm not quite used to, weightlifting, and different classes." "I don't know, I'm just excited overall!"

Bacca said, "this has been my dream since I was 12 years old." "The day is finally here, so I'm excited!"

Kaminski wants to improve in her power and strength and plans to study in the health science field.

Bacca is also a snowboarder and her future coach is allowing her to participate in that sport as well.
