POCATELLO, Idaho (KIDK) The reigning 4A Boys Soccer state champion, Wood River, has yet to lose a game this season. Three other teams are also undefeated in the state, Lake City, Caldwell and Century. The latter is who the Wolverines played Saturday afternoon.
And you can bet when two powerhouses go to battle, emotions run high, but this got out of hand.
KIDK reports that Century was called for five fouls in the first half, nine in the second half. While the Wolverines were issued seven in the first and a whopping 15 in the second half of the match.
A fight broke out between the players and coaches and police were called to the scene.
The game ended in a draw, so technically both teams have yet to lose a game, but Wood River still remains first place in the conference standings with a 8-0-1 conference record, 9-0-1 overall mark.
Twin Falls 12, Minico 1: Josh Stagge had a hat trick in the first half while Steven, Caden, and Tairan all had 2 goal. Danny, Jesus and Ashton scored as well. Next game is senior night.
