Twin Falls County residents speak out about rising property taxes, assessments

Assessor Bradford Wills decided to hold the event Monday evening because he was approached by residents in Twin Falls County asking him about why their property values had increased and other neighbors' did not increase as much.

Sunday Evening Forecast

There's a few lingering showers moving through the West Central Mountains this evening, however here in the Magic Valley expect partly cloudy skies and dry conditions to continue overnight. Highs were a little warmer from yesterday and above average, as highs topped out in the mid to upper 50s in the Magic Valley, and near 50 in the Wood River Valley. For Monday, expect temperatures to be a little warmer as well with highs reaching the lower 60s in the Magic Valley and mid 50s in the Wood River Valley. We'll have mostly sunny skies in both regions to start off the week, before Tuesday. By then we'll see cloud cover and a chance of precipitation increase across the region, with the addition of cooler temperatures in both regions. Overall, expect mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers in the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley for Tuesday. By Wednesday, temperatures will continue to decrease and we'll see highs in the mid 40s for both regions with a slight chance of rain/snow.

Saturday Evening Forecast

Following last nights cold front, we experienced some cooler temperatures today along with some breezy conditions throughout the day. Highs topped out in the mid 50s for the most in both the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley. Tonight you can expect partly cloudy to mostly clear skies with lows a couple degrees below freezing in both the Magic Valley and Wood River Valley. Dry conditions look to continue tonight, and we have a air stagnation advisory in effect for Twin Falls, Jerome, and Gooding County through Monday. This shouldnt cause to much of an impact, other than create some hazy conditions in the area. However, it could present some challenges for those with respiratory challenges, who should take it easy when heading outdoors this weekend. You should also be mindful of any burning restrictions in your area.

International pro basketball player & Twin Falls native gives back to community

Tanner Hazelbaker, international pro basketball player and graduate of Twin Falls High School, brought his talent back to the the community for a youth basketball camp on Saturday.
