Deputy uses PIT maneuver after pursuit in Twin Falls County

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A man was taken into custody Wednesday evening after a disturbance at Idaho Materials and Construction led to a pursuit and rollover crash, according to the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 6:30 p.m., police were called to a disturbance at Idaho Materials and Construction. As a Twin Falls County deputy arrived, an adult man got into an older Ford F-250 and drove north on 2700 East.
According to the sheriff’s office, the driver went off the road as 2700 East curves into 4000 North, drove through a yard and then returned to the roadway.
A deputy then performed a PIT maneuver, causing the pickup to hit the soft shoulder and roll.
The man was transported by the sheriff’s office to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Regional Medical Center for evaluation. He was later booked into the Twin Falls County Jail on charges of felony eluding, felony DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
