Murtaugh's postseason run ends; 1A hoops roundup

POCATELLO, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Murtaugh looked to keep its magical season alive against the always tough Sho-Ban Chiefs in Saturday's 1A DII state play-in game at Pocatello High School.

1st quarter, Red Devils moving the ball, it gets inside to Jenna Benites who kisses it of the glass, it's a tie game.

It gets in the hands of Nakai Appenay, count the bucket, she tallied nine points.

Then Rylee Appenay shoots from long range and Tia Smith-Buckskin is there for the put back, Chiefs in the lead.

But Murtaugh has an answer Benites from behind the arch, she led the Red Devils with 18 points. Check her out, here she is again for another 3 pointer, we've got a close game.

Shoban's Harley Jackson pulls up and makes the jump shot for 2 of her 18, the Lady Chiefs go on to win it 58-51 over Murtaugh, Sho-Ban faces Kendrick in round one at Nampa High School.
